FPSO Brasil Marine Shipborne Helipad
A shipborne helipad (sometimes called a helideck) is exposed to a very extreme environment, particularly salt spray, that are not factors with land-locked equivalents. Further, weight is a factor as excessive weight higher up on a ship or a floating rig can degrade the stability.
An FPSO, or floating production, storage and offloading vessel is used by the offshore oil and gas industry for the processing of oil and gas and for storage of oil.
